Our Team: Kathrine Giacchino

  • KG's number one operational rule: Wear your helmet. Sometimes rocks fall on you. Sometimes you fall on rocks.
  • Tip for the beginning client: stay as close to the wall as you can, the closer your center of gravity to the wall, the less your muscles have to work to hold you. If you stay vertical, then all you need to do is stand in place rather than cling to the rock.
  • Helps clients adapt their climbing style to ensure it uses their strengths, while encouraging improvement through strengthening their weaknesses!
  • Forces the use of technique to conserve energy, slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
